 BOARD MEMBERS

Chair – Chris Hodson

Chris is currently employed by the NHS as a Patient and Public Involvement Officer. He is engaged with gathering patience voices and ensuring that policy makers and service planners hear the views expressed. He is passionate about digital storytelling and is an advocate of using stories to help improve service.

Vice Chair – Company Secretary

Ruth is a Freelance project manager and arts consultant. Previously at Wales Millennium Centre; she was part of the original Senior Executive Team both in the pre-opening planning of the £110m construction project and post opening as Director of Public Programmes. Her professional qualifications include a Post-Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Treasurer & Vice Chair – David Jones

David studied Music at Bangor University under the leadership of Professor Robert Pascall. After spending a number of years teaching within South Wales, he developed his own music practice. He later continued his post graduate studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.  He runs David Jones Associates, a freelance project management consultancy.

Director – Anna Chard

Anna is North Ebbw Fach’s Community First Cluster Manager. She is qualified to degree standard and is a qualified member of the Institute of Personnel Management. In her spare time she is Justice of the Peace (Magistrate Chair of Bench), and Chair of Governors of St Illtyd’s Primary School.

Director – Gareth Morlais

Gareth is a Welsh-language technology specialist with the Welsh Government. He was one of the BBC Capture Wales digital storytelling project team. In his spare time he runs hyperlocal websites.

Mae Gareth yn arbenigwr y Gymraeg, technoleg a chyfryngau digidol yn Llywodraeth Cymru. Cyn hyn, bu’n aelod o dîm straeon digidol BBC Cipolwg ar Gymru. Mae’n cynnal gwefannau traleol yn ei amser sbâr.

Director – Rob Thomson

Rob Thomson is a public relations, media and communications consultant with 25 years as a freelance and press journalist.  He launched buzzards-pr and media in 2010 and is engaged in exciting heritage and regeneration projects in Wales.

Non Executive Members

Adviser – Kate Strudwick

Kate is Creative Project Manager for Head for Arts which develops and commissions community arts across the 4 counties of Merthyr, Torfean, Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent. She has 20 years experience in arts project management and was founder of Breaking Barriers project at Caerphilly County Borough Council. In her spare time she is a member of Allan yn y Fan she writes music, plays flute, recorder and other wind instruments.
